How do you respond to God in times of trouble?
King David was the most important king of Israel, central to the history of God’s people. His wives were an important part of his story.
Michal, Abigail, and Bathsheba married David in different stages of his life. Each responded to serious challenges by turning towards and away from God. Their stories remind us of both the good and bad consequences that result from the choices we make. They testify to God’s providence and grace at work in the lives of his people.
God works through our relationships, and for each of these women, their relationship to David shaped their lives in lasting ways. This 16-day devotional series reminds us that no matter the circumstances of our lives, God invites us to turn towards him.
