The Unforced Rhythms of Grace
Read: Matthew 11:28-30 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (v. 28) My life is so busy! I just don’t have
Do you feel like you’re always in a hurry, whipsawed from one activity to the next, just trying to get it all done? Will life ever slow down?
In a restless world, the good news is that God has a different rhythm in mind for us—a healthier, more life-giving rhythm called Sabbath.
Often, believers think about Sabbath as Sunday only; a day set aside for worship. But the Bible is clear. Sabbath is not just one day a week, it is a way of life, an orientation of the heart.
In this devotional series, Brian Keepers explores the gift of Sabbath and how to live every day with a deeper sense of presence, purpose, and joy.
God calls us to rest, and to relax our restless hearts and spirits. In a restless world, rest is also a testimony to God’s good work in our lives. How are you responding to God’s call for rest? Are you allowing your restless heart to rest in him?
Hear God’s call today: Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)
