In Christ
Read: Romans 8 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. . . . [Nothing] will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ
Romans 8 begins and ends in the same place: in Christ. God’s free gift of grace and the forgiveness of sin is only found here, in Christ.
Romans 8 is truly a mountaintop in the whole of Scripture. The book of Romans is a letter written by Paul to the church in Rome. The entire book is a defense and explanation of Christ’s sacrifice and believers’ necessary response to Christ. As a believer, what does it mean to be “in Christ”?
This 14-day devotional series will stay in Romans 8 to give you a close study of this foundational Bible passage, and help you understand and apply it. In Romans 8, Paul beautifully summarizes the gospel, and as you read each day, you will reflect on powerful and familiar passages.
As you read Romans 8 in sections, over and over, consider an additional challenge: try memorizing the whole chapter. If you do, you will have a resource that will enrich you as you age, and far beyond.
