Devotionals for Lent and Easter
Lent and Easter are the seasons of the year when Christians reflect on the death and resurrection of Jesus.
The season of Lent is a time for personal reflection and preparation, prior to the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus. The forty days from Ash Wednesday to Easter (Sundays aren’t counted as part of Lent) reflect both the forty years when Israel wandered through the wilderness and the forty days Jesus spent there in fasting, praying, and facing temptation. Lent culminates in Easter celebrations of Jesus’s resurrection and our assurance of salvation in him.
If you are hoping to reconnect or deepen your faith journey in this season, consider learning and growing with Words of Hope resources for Lent and Easter.
