April 2025 Prayer Guide

ALBANIA — Praise God for increased engagement with gospel content on social media in Albania. The team is encouraged by new interest in devotionals and growing use of the Bible App. Progress continues on the Discipleship Essentials curriculum and “Thru the Bible” programs. Pray that these tools will help Albanian Christians grow in their faith.

NEPAL — Please pray for protection over pastors in Nepal, as false accusations and threats against Christians are becoming more common. One pastor was recently reported to police for distributing gifts, while another was forced out by a mob that tore and burned a Bible. Despite these challenges, people remain open to the gospel, and the church continues to grow.

BHUTAN — Praise God for providing a new taxi for one of our producers who takes opportunities to share the gospel with passengers and fellow drivers. He witnesses through music, conversation, and the cross displayed in his vehicle. Pray that each passenger would sense the love of Christ and be drawn to learn more.

UGANDA — Give thanks for the growth seen among pastors through the equipping network fellowship, as many are becoming stronger teachers and leaders. The impact is being felt in their congregations and wider communities. Pray for continued encouragement and spiritual maturity for these pastors.

ENGLISH — A person in prison who has access to the free daily devotional wrote to say: “To whom it may concern, I want to thank you for what you do. You have helped me grow and rededicate my walk with God and Jesus. Thank you for helping prisoners find their way. God bless.”

SOUTH SUDAN — Give thanks that president Jon Opgenorth was able to have a meaningful time of fellowship with the South Sudan team. Strong, humble leaders are emerging there. Pray for comfort for the team as they continue ministry work amid deep sorrow and concern for loved ones in conflict zones inside the country.

IRAN — Another meaningful Persian discipleship conference is complete. Three men who attended the conference began the week unsure about Christ, but before returning home, all three had decided to commit their lives to the Lord and participate in the sacrament of baptism. We are thankful for this evidence of the Holy Spirit’s work!

INDIA — Give thanks for a Words of Hope tutoring center in Noonmati that is now serving ten children. Community interest in the center is growing. Students are responding well to the teacher and are gaining confidence in their studies. Praise God for this opportunity to support children academically and spiritually.

INDONESIA — A listener community made up of widows and mothers are finding strength through God’s Word. Praise God for the life change they are experiencing as their faith deepens personally and within their families. Devotional tools like the Kupang language Bible programs are helping them reflect daily and grow spiritually.

TÜRKIYE — Pray for the Words of Hope team in Türkiye as they share the gospel in a spiritually challenging environment. Ask God to encourage seekers who are reaching out through social media and radio broadcasts. Pray for safety and wisdom for local believers as they build relationships and form discipleship groups.

INDIA — Our local teams in India are undertaking income-generating projects to provide in-country support for the mission efforts. The sale of pigs, ducks, chickens, and bananas are now bolstering funds for outreach. Pray for the team as they work to scale up this revenue-generating project.

NIGER — A producer in Niger writes: “We bless the name of the Lord for his faithfulness, his infinite love, and his never-failing kindness. We remain and will continue to be the beneficiaries of his grace. We will never cease to give thanks to God for his protection and providence toward us.
