TURKEY — Praise God for impactful ministry work happening in Turkey. A recent event was attended by 60 people and provided space for prayers of healing and deliverance. Pray for those who attended, especially those exploring faith in Christ, that they may take bold steps toward him. Ask God to guide the team as they follow up with these individuals.
UGANDA — While at a refugee camp, a listener named David tuned to a Words of Hope radio program and listened to the message. He felt convicted and tuned in again the next week. He eventually received Christ during a radio call-in and began attending church. He continues to listen to the Words of Hope programs every week.
INDONESIA — An Indonesian listener community member shares: “Our fellowship in the community has changed my life a lot. We are very grateful to God because through this community, our faith is growing and our understanding is straightened. This has not only been the case for me personally, but also for my whole family as well.”
BHUTAN — Pray for the eight dedicated members of the Words of Hope Bhutan team as they share the Word of God in five languages through social media. Pray for wisdom and effectiveness as they train church leaders and members. The team also runs a free after-school tutoring center for underprivileged children in the area.
INDIA — Give thanks for a recent skill development program held by one of our teams in India. Over 70 women attended the training. They had the opportunity to learn more about family care, health, and self-employment. A practical, hands-on workshop was also offered to teach the women how to make detergent and hand wash.
NIGER — Pray for safety for team members sharing the gospel in parts of Niger that are impacted by insecurity and violence due to terrorist activity. Give thanks that communication networks have been restored, which is enabling follow-up with listeners to resume. Pray for protection for displaced villagers.
NEPAL — Pray for wisdom and courage for the Words of Hope team in Nepal as they faithfully witness within the boundaries of the law. Give thanks for the cooperative relationship between churches and local authorities. Ask for unity and discernment among believers to resist false teachings and live out their faith.
IRAN — Pray for strength and perseverance for Christians in Iran who are facing increased persecution and imprisonment. Ask for God’s comfort and protection for 96 believers who were sentenced to a total of 263 years in prison last year. Lift up their families, and pray that they may find peace and support during this time of trial.
ALBANIA — Give thanks for the increased engagement the team is seeing on social media. Another recent opportunity has been the chance to share Albanian content on YouVersion, also known as the Bible App. Albanian Christians continue to show appreciation for the Words of Hope devotional on a variety of media platforms.
SOUTH SUDAN — Give thanks for the collaboration between the state government, local chiefs, and opinion leaders to promote peace in South Sudan through the Words of Hope radio programs. Praise God for the purchase of a new radio tower and pray for its successful installation. Ask for continued wisdom as the ministry focuses on spreading messages of peace.
INDIA — Pray for wisdom and creativity for our team in India as they strive to make programs that are engaging and impactful for listeners. Ask for God’s guidance in crafting content that helps people learn about Jesus and accept him as their Savior. Pray that the programs would present the gospel message in a clear, compelling, and accessible way.
ENGLISH — Give thanks for the creative ways that people are applying the truths of Scripture to their lives as they engage with the daily devotional. One woman shared how her family used the Names of Jesus devotional. At their family Christmas party, each person there from the ages of 14-80 chose one of Jesus’s names and shared about what it meant.
