As registration for our Near + Far 5K takes off, Words of Hope had one of our Board of Directors take physical activity to the next level: Doug Van Beek had an idea to do his own Bike-A-Thon as a way to raise money for Words of Hope!
Doug is going to ride his bike starting on May 10th through May 15th from Tipton, California to San Diego, California—about a 350 mile journey! Doug is an avid bike rider… he has different bikes for different occasions, including a double decker bike that he somehow talked Words of Hope President Jon Opgenorth into riding during his visit!
