Our Work / East Africa
New beginnings in this region contrast with a war-torn past. Through radio, we are sharing God’s message of peace and hope.
Bringing the Healing Word to a Wounded Region
The countries of Uganda and Sudan have seen more than their share of war and devastation. Civil war gripped Sudan for decades until a peace agreement was reached in 2005. Uganda is still recovering from the social and economic shambles left in the wake of Idi Amin, Milton Obote and, more recently, the effects of a campaign of terror by the so-called Lord’s Resistance Army in the north. As refugees and internally displaced people return home, Words of Hope broadcasts are helping to restore the bonds of community and faith.
Please support our continued efforts to unleash the healing, restorative power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in East Africa. To learn more, visit the ministry and country links found at right.
