English: Domestic and Abroad
English has approximately 341 million native speakers. It is far more worldwide in it distribution than all other spoken languages. It is an official language in 52 countries as well as many small colonies and territories. In addition, 1/4 to 1/3 of the people in the world understand and speak English to some degree. English is truly a global language.
Established in 1945, with the purpose of providing a Reformed Church presence on the radio in West Michigan, Words of Hope has since become a pioneer producer of missionary radio broadcasts heard around the world. But English is still an important ministry language for us. Our active and growing literature ministry serves the devotional needs of individuals, families and small groups. In partnership of ReFrame Media and HCJB Global, Spotlight reaches large numbers of EFL speakers around the world using Specialized English. And finally, Words of Hope continues its legacy of North American radio ministry with Groundwork. Groundwork is a new Bible teaching program, digging into Scripture from a Reformed perspective, produced in partnership with ReFrame Media (the English language ministry of Back to God Ministries International).
