The Voice / Americas / English
Background
Established in 1945 by Reformed Churches with a vision for proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ by radio, Words of Hope has been broadcasting in English ever since. Words of Hope continues its legacy of English language radio ministry with Groundwork, a new Bible teaching program for North America. It is available on local Christian stations throughout North America and on the internet. To find a station in your area, listen to programs online, and join the conversation, please visit GroundworkOnline.com.
Words of Hope also has an active English literature ministry. Our devotional booklets are used by individuals and outreach programs in North America (including their use by many prisoners) and around the world. We provide English language Bible study books for use by churches and individuals. If you are interested in either of these resources, please visit our resource page or contact us.
Ministry Updates
"Words of Hope has the privilege of sharing God’s Word with the world each day, and God’s Word is the means by which He works in the lives of people–one at a time. God is concerned with individuals. That is one reason why radio is an appropriate medium for Christian witness. Radio is a very personal medium. Radio does not talk to an audience of thousands of people; but to an audience of one, multiplied thousands of times. And the Word of God does many things. It converts, and it builds up faith in those who are converted; it challenges the proud, and it comforts the suffering; it pronounces judgment on sin, and it conveys blessing to humble and repentant sinners. It is an unspeakable privilege at Words of Hope to be able to share this Word with the whole world–one person at a time. And it is a joy to be able to follow up our radio broadcasts with Words of Hope literature that helps to confirm new believers in their faith and in the practice of daily Bible study." [David Bast]
