The Voice / South Asia / Dogri
Background
Dogri is spoken by the people in the southern half of the northernmost Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Unlike Kashmir, which is predominately Islamic, the majority of the population in Jammu is Hindu.
Radio plays a significant role in spreading the gospel to the remote areas of the Dogri-speaking regions. In many such places, no one has ever gone before with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Christian programs over the radio have made it possible for people living even in such areas to hear the Word of God. Many in these remote villages own a radio set. Whenever they leave home for harvesting or to graze cattle, they always take along their radio sets and listen to a variety of programs. The Dogri program, Premey Kanne (“With Love”), is their favorite.
Ministry Updates

Read More ResponsesOne day while listening to the Dogri program, I stumbled upon the truth of the gospel and began lapping up all that was shared about the Lord and His love for us. Every word that was uttered by the speaker gave hope as never before. I have given my life to the Lord Jesus and want to spend as much time as possible in the fellowship of God’s people so I can grow in my faith.
